FW: Tunesday Evening

Hey everyone,

It’s almost tomorrow, so I’d better get this out quick! Here are a few ideas for tomorrow. As always, please bring you own ideas, or reply here.

It’s been a while since we played the Arpeggio Meditation <tunesday.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Arpeggio-Meditation.pdf> , by Daniel Ward. I’d like to use it as a warm-up, and as a jumping off place to discuss some other ideas for fingerpicking the uke.

Maybe a few vocal warm-up exercises would help me keep my voice throughout the evening.

For the “give us this day our daily rock and roll” section we can try The Beatles All My Loving <tunesday.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/All-My-Loving-SM.pdf> , then Bye Bye Love from the Everly Brothers. The sheet music is attached.

How Much Is That Doggy In The Window <tunesday.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/How-Much-is-that-Doggy-G-D7.pdf> will satisfy the songs-with-only-two-chords, and the songs in 3/4 time requirement, plus a nod to old-time Americana .

Hope to see you at First Presbyterian Church of Santa Fe from 5:30 – 7:30 Tuesday evening.

Cheers!

John Calvin
